Orthodontic aligners must be worn for at least 20 hours a day. They should be removed during meals or when drinking hot liquids other than water. Each set of aligners is replaced weekly, unless otherwise directed by your orthodontist. Failure to follow the aligner wear schedule may result in treatment deviations and may require additional scanning, after which new aligners will be created—wearing these may prolong the duration of treatment.
