Dental implantation

Implantology is the restoration of lost teeth through implants. Our clinic uses Swiss and German dental implants for reliable and worldwide recognized dental implants. During dental implantation, adjacent teeth are preserved, which are usually vulnerable to the use of an old dental restoration techniques – prosthetic bridges. Regardless of how many teeth you have lost – one, two, most of them or perhaps even all – a particular treatment method could be applied specifically to you. Then you will be able to enjoy your smile again.

Tooth restoration with implants:

  • Jaw bone is protected from melting;
  • Maximum recovery of the chewing function;
  • Rcovery of a smile that looks natural and attractive.

The success of dental implantation depends on the following factors:

  • Patient’s state of health and lifestyle (high risk group includes those with harmful habits and diabetes);
  • Jaw bone and gum thickness;
  • Personal oral hygiene habits;
  • Used method of treatment and chosen implant.

With a favorable clinical situation, dental implants can be threaded right after tooth removal – this will save you time. Then the implant is fitted with a temporary tooth crown, which is then replaced by a firm, long-lasting and naturally looking tooth.

Are you wondering what is the procedure of the treatment with dental implants? First of all, your personal treatment plan is discussed by determening whether you need an implantation. Our clinic specialists will carefully review your treatment history, make an X-ray or computed tomography, and conduct a comprehensive oral test. If you and the doctors decides that you need an implantation, everything will continue in the following order:

  1. Surgical implantation of the implant into the bone. This is done using local anesthesia, so you will not feel any pain at all. 7-10 days after the surgery, the thread will be removed and the healing process will start, which usually takes around four months. During this period, the implant is firmly attached to the bone.

  1. The next stage is prosthetics. The doctor will take the imprint from the implants, whereby the prosthesis will be produced. After the prosthesis, the teeth will look natural, strong and durable. You will be smiling again and enjoying any food. You can read more about dental prosthesis on implants under “Prosthetics”.

Teeth removal

As the Simetria Dentica Clinic specializes in orthodontics, the most common oral surgery in our clinic is tooth removal for orthodontic treatment reasons in order to create a place for teeth straightening.

  1. In case of excessive teeth conjunction or incorrect occlusion, the removal of incisor of the upper or or lower jaws is required, in rare cases the first molars or lower anterior incisors are removed.

  1. A fully retinalized or partially retinalised (not fully grown) wisdom teeth can also be removed to create additional space in the tooth arch or to avoid the risk of causing root melting, caries or peri pockets in the adjacent teeth. Also, these teeth often grow up damaged by caries themselves and endodontic treatment is complicated for them, so the best solution, both financially and physically, would be to remove them. Fast and painless removal of wisdom, permanent or retinal teeth.

Retinal teeth are the teeth that have formed but for various reasons have not grown up. Usually, retinal teeth are wisdom teeth. Too often, incisors do not grow up in the lower jaw as well as canines do not sprout in the upper jaw. It is possible that some teeth from the frontal teeth group never appear either. Retention can be symmetrical and asymmetric. The position of the retinal teeth can be varied: vertical, diagonal, transverse. Their position is determined by a panoramic X-ray picture.

Teeth left under the the gum may cause pain, infection, compression or injury of adjacent teeth. The removal of incompletely grown or non-grown teeth requires a lot of specific knowledge of oral surgery, so these procedures are performed by an experienced oral surgeon in our clinic.

Our strength is professionalism, knowledge and unquestionable competence. We take care of every patient. We will provide versatile comfort and after any surgical procedure we will explain how to behave, so during the healing period you feel the best way possible.
